Feature - How Long, Not Long
The opening theme in our programme is Society Criticism that revels the cruel reality under the unaware surface.
How Long, Not Long(2015) is a beautifully poetic short animation made by Michelle & Uri Kranot. They are the animation directors for a documentary, Cosmopolitanism(2015), this incredible painting over the footage of living scenes indicates xenophobia thought has been cultivating in our society.
While collaborating with Erik gandini who is the director of Cosmopolitanism(2015), they took a part of source from it and remixed them, and it become How Long, Not Long(2015).
How Long, Not Long(2015) uses mainly solo piano with cello to creates an isolated cold inner of humanity of intolerant thought. The exquisite painting with colour contract made before the basic rhythm music just right match and provides a huge impact of audiovisual art.
They just released a Virtual Reality hand-painting animation, Nothing Happens(2017) that invite audience to participant their animation world.

We usually see animation be arranged in "Kid Club" or "Family Film" programme, but animation is one of the art forms to tell a story, it should not be confined in fun activities but full of educational knowledge for adult.
The other animations in Society Criticism programme tells you the real story:
How we grabbing African farmers standard living by drink a cup of coffee; how human's interaction became distantly while we are too much attracted and rely on technology; how we image the natural environment while we destroy it.
This curatorial programme also wants to remind ourselves, human's relationship is link to the worldwide network, from the person sit next to you to the other continents.
